City administrative offices to close for Election Day on Nov. 3

Election Day_2020Sarasota, FL:  City of Sarasota administrative offices will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 3, in observance of Election Day.

Residential garbage, recycling and yard waste pickup and commercial garbage collection schedules will be unaffected.

Staff with the City Auditor and Clerk’s office will be working with the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections to provide voting results for the three City Commission races.

Hours of operation at recreation and cultural arts facilities for Nov. 3 will vary:

The state-run COVID-19 testing site at Robert L. Taylor Community Complex will be closed. The testing site will resume normal daily operations Nov. 4.

City offices will again be open to the public Nov. 4 on a by-appointment basis only. City business can also be conducted either online via www.SarasotaFL.gov or by phone at 941-263-6000. More information about COVID-19 closures is available at SarasotaFL.gov/COVID-19.
