About the City Hall Cultural Heritage Exhibit
The City Hall Cultural Exhibit was created to celebrate the city’s many cultural legacies including the genres of visual arts, circus arts, architecture, ethnic groups, tourism, and historical documentation. The intent of the exhibit is to beautify Sarasota’s historic City Hall atrium while informing the city’s citizens and visitors of Sarasota’s rich history in the arts and culture.
The City of Sarasota Cultural Heritage Exhibit provides a museum-quality experience that is free and open to the public focusing on the visual arts and historical documentation, including paintings and photographs, of Sarasota's cultural heritage and legacy.
The exhibitions are conceptualized and overseen by the Public Art Program and Historic Preservation Division in partnership with local organizations.
