Sarasota, FL: Tuesday’s trash, recycling and yard waste pickups for City of Sarasota customers are canceled due to the impending threat of Tropical Storm Elsa.
Monday’s collections are continuing as scheduled. Tuesday’s trash pickups have not yet been rescheduled. Residents are advised to visit SarasotaFL.gov or follow the City’s accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Nextdoor for updates.
The City continues to monitor Elsa’s trajectory in coordination with the National Weather Service and Sarasota County Emergency Management and prepare for possible impacts to Sarasota. Citizens are encouraged to sign up for Alert Sarasota County to receive emergency notifications, review their family emergency preparedness plans and continue to monitor local weather reports.
