Purmort & Martin opened for business on Nov. 4, 1959, and has provided insurance services to all of Sarasota County. For the past 65 years, it has been a fixture in The Gardens of Ringling Park in Sarasota.

In recognition of its years of service to Sarasota and city residents, the City Commission has declared Purmort & Martin a Legacy Business.
