Avion Park's grand reopening was a fantastic community event!

 

After Parks and Recreation Department Director Jerry Fogle introduced the redesigned Avion Park to attendees, Mayor Liz Alpert cut the ribbon, officially opening this community space to the public. Joining in on the fun were Vice Mayor Debbie Trice, Commissioners Jen Ahearn Koch and Kyle Battie, Interim City Manager Doug Jeffcoat, and Deputy City Manager Pat Robinson.

 

Avion Park's redesign came to fruition through public input and includes a basketball court, covered seating area, green space, and more. As you can see, the neighborhood's youngest residents wasted no time putting the new playground to good use!
