North Lido Beach 'No Swim' advisory lifted

US 41-First Street crosswalk deactivated
The signalized HAWK pedestrian crosswalk at US 41-First Street is now deactivated. Pedestrians are directed to use the crosswalks on US 41 at Fruitville Road and Main Street. The crosswalk at on Gulfstream Avenue-Golden Gate Point is also open to pedestrians.

Red tide update
Site inspections at Lido Beach today showed increased signs of red tide with mild respiratory irritation and moderate amounts of marine debris accumulating on the shoreline.

Westbound Siesta Drive temporarily closed to traffic
Siesta Drive is temporarily closed to westbound traffic from U.S. 41 to Honeysuckle Drive as the City of Sarasota completes the installation of a new water line.

‘Pack the Patrol Car’ School Supply Drive July 21 – August 4, 2021
The Sarasota Police Department is accepting school supplies beginning July 21, 2021, through Wednesday, August 4, 2021, for the fourth annual ‘Pack the Patrol Car.’ New school supplies can be dropped off from 6 a.m. – 7 p.m. in the lobby of the Sarasota PD Headquarters, 2099 Adams Lane, Sarasota.
