Plastic bags no longer accepted for curbside yard waste pickup starting July 1
Plastic bags are no longer an option to contain yard waste for residential curbside pickup within the City of Sarasota. The City’s yard waste contractor, Veransa Group, will no longer process yard waste contained in plastic bags, prompting the policy change.

Renzo Piano Building Workshop is pleased to announce the selection of Sarasota-based Sweet Sparkman Architects as Architect of Record for the new Sarasota Performing Arts Center
In June 2023, Sarasota Performing Arts Foundation and City of Sarasota selected Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW) as Design Architect for the new Sarasota Performing Arts Center. The project will be built in The Bay, Sarasota’s signature public park.
