Lido Beach emergency renourishment to begin this week
Crews have begun staging equipment at Lido Beach in preparation for an emergency renourishment project that is scheduled to begin as early as this weekend.

Solid Waste Department offers additional red tide trash collection
City of Sarasota residents who live along beaches and waterways that have been impacted by the red tide bloom can place any additional plastic bags from cleanup activities at the curb and have them collected by the Solid Waste Department on their regularly scheduled collection day.

American Course to close for drainage improvements Aug. 13
The American Course at Bobby Jones Golf Club, owned and operated by the City of Sarasota, will close temporarily for drainage improvements effective Monday, Aug. 13. The 18-hole course is expected to reopen by Dec. 1.

Public Art installation scheduled for July 29; Portion of Orange Ave./Ringling Blvd. temporarily closed
To accommodate the installation of a new public art sculpture within the Orange Avenue/Ringling Boulevard roundabout, the northeast quadrant of the roundabout will be temporarily closed Sunday, July 29 from approximately 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. The road will reopen as soon as the installation is completed.
